Application of DAVID Delight Brainwave Entrainment AVE
Academic & Work Performance
There is compelling evidence that audio-visual entrainment (AVE) increases cerebral blood flow, brain activity efficiency, and mental health. There have been several studies involving the use of AVE to enhance academic performance. AVE has been proven to be a highly effective and affordable means of improving grades and socialization. The result can be applied to any environment in which mental focus is required.
Sleep
AVE is most effective for helping people fall asleep by reducing the amount of mental “chatter” after a busy day. In many cases, individuals who have difficulty falling asleep have low levels of serotonin in their bodies. The AVE increases the level of serotonin, which then converts to melatonin. The use of AVE sessions during the day reduces stress and anxiety, thus improving the quality of sleep.
Low Mood, Depression, Stress & Anxiety
Mental conditions such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia can result from unmanaged moods. When the brain detects stress, it shunts cerebral blood flow away from the cortex and into the body’s core organs and muscles to prepare for fight or flight. As a result, the brainwave activity is slowed down into alpha and theta brainwave frequencies. This is similar to those seen in those with Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. This results in a more distracted, impulsive, and hyperactive individual. As a result, these behaviors affect one’s ability to function, thus resulting in increased stress levels.
In studies, it has been demonstrated that AVE can result in dramatic increases in cerebral blood flow, neurotransmitters, dissociative states, efficient brain activity, and sound mental health. The use of AVE has also been demonstrated to induce meditative states and reduce anxiety.
Furthermore, AVE has also been shown to be effective in alleviating your low mood because it dissociates and stabilizes the brainwaves very quickly. It also increases cerebral blood flow – individuals with low moods often have reduced levels of cerebral blood flow in the prefrontal and left frontal lobes. The Feeling Better sessions conducted by David Delight re-stabilize brainwaves by suppressing left frontal alpha and boosting right frontal alpha to normal levels. Norepinephrine and serotonin levels are reduced in people with low moods. Similarly, AVE increases the levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain.
Attention Deficit (ADD/ADHD)
All mental functions are influenced by arousal – the level of alertness or “awakeness” of the brain. A person with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has particular difficulty shifting their prefrontal lobes (the part of the brain behind the forehead) into “gear.” Prefrontal lobes are responsible for attention, intent, and logical reasoning.
Michael Joyce, Senior Research Scientist at the University of Alberta completed two studies using the DAVID systems to treat ADD/ADHD. Both studies demonstrated that AVE significantly reduced ADD behaviors and improved reading skills. Using the DAVID’s patented field stimulation technology, Michael was able to generate a different frequency in each hemisphere of the brain. With this technique and a Symptom Survey checklist developed by Michael, he was able to create DAVID sessions that could stimulate or calm the left, right or both hemispheres depending on the symptoms checked off by the child’s parents.
